While driving from a stop total loss of gas acceleration.
Unable to press on gas pedal to obtain acceleration coasted to the shoulder and turned
car off. The idiot light was on that resembled a wrench. I have 22,210 miles on the car.
When I restarted the car it drove fine. I decided to bring it to my local mechanic to run a
test on it in the morning. Although, I don't want to just replace parts that don't need to be
replaced. Need advice

Shutting car off and restarting it resets the limp mode and it should drive normally again. This info should be in your owners manual too.

I have a 2013 Ford Mustang V6 3.7L, automatic, premium coupe. same happened to me it went into limp mode. This happens when having the a/c unit on, drives perfect when vehicle was turned off and turned back on shortly after issue like nothing happened. I took it in to the dealer and they can't replicate issue. of course the code is not on the log. This is not fun and has happened to me twice so dangerous while driving on highway speeds of 70mph.
I own a fox/coyote swap and I have this issue occurring often. Stang is equipped with the 2015 coyote motor that has been modded with a 2.65 liter VMP Supercharger along with the twin 67 mm throttle body Manley Rods Mahle Pistons 95 lb injector 415 liter per hour fuel pump water meth. Car was dunked at over 701 RWHP and after 3 weeks started this nonsense of loss of pedal, coast to side of road and retard till I have pedal. ANY IDEAS FOLKS? PLEASE HELP
Hi Chadstang, I ended up replacing my throttle body and air filter. My stang is now at 91,000 miles and runs like a charm.
