The D for drive started flashing

My Malfunction indicator came on and the D for drive was flashing don't see any thing in
my owner's manual with a explanation.

My 2008 pilot did this and it was the 2nd gear shift sensor. Part was around 50 and labor made it about 125 total. It has happened about a year later and I was over on the 12k mileage warranty but not the 12 month warranty. Bought the part and installed it myself. Took about 15 mins.

It would take me more than 15 minutes to raise the car up. ...it would take me more than 15 minutes to borrow the jacks from my neighbor to raise the car up. (wait a minute, I gave my jack stands away, never mind)
