what does it mean when the horn beeps low when push lock on remote

Asked by Gloria May 18, 2015 at 09:13 AM about the 2011 Ford Edge Limited AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When I push the lock button on my remote (twice) the horn usually beeps to indicate its locked. Recently (week) it beeps really low. Before it sounded like the normal sound of a horn beeping.  It still locks and unlocks, and even remote starts without issue, just found it strange the horn that indicates its locked is now low. I changed keys thinking that might be the issue, but I got the same results.

2019 ford edge has only one horn, replace it with a 2018 ford edge horn, it has two horns and fits perfect
