What does the wrench mean?

my 2013 ford edge has a wrench show up on the screen as I stopped at the
stop sign, car acted like it did not want to run or even move, would not go
forward or backward. I put it in park turned it off and then restarted it and it
drove fine. Can you please tell me what's wrong?
