transmission confusion

Asked by bcb710 Apr 06, 2014 at 09:00 AM about the 2011 Ford Taurus SEL

Question type: General

crazy transmission activity at times when my 2011 Taurus is brought to a red light or stop
sign stop, transmission gets noisy and seems to be unable to decide what it wants to
do...corrects after  10-15 seconds. Problem is intermittent so when brought to dealer it
behaved normal

Did the dealer check the fluid level? did you? that is a fairly new car, you wouldn't think it has a bad tranny- I hate those intermittent problems- you might have to leave it with a mechanic for a few days so they can drive it and replicate the problem- how many miles are on it? is it due for a transmission service?
