Steering wheel noise upon turning
2 Answers
Gotta get on the ground and look for anything that may have gotten caught up in the steering or wheels. Check the fluid level in the power steering reservoir, if you're low you'll get some noise from the pump (more of a groaning than a rubbing noise tho). Check the backing plates on the brakes, something may have hit one and bent it inward and it's scraping against the rotor. Check the condition of the brake pads, too - if they're low the low-brake indicator (which is just a metal tab) will scrape against the rotor. (makes more a squeal sound tho). Just a few suggestions on where to start, if you can't find it on your own, get it into a shop as you don't want to take chances with brakes or steering.
