A/C Clutch

Asked by Help2007hunkajunk Aug 07, 2019 at 07:33 PM about the 2007 Jeep Liberty Limited 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hello, I have a 2007 Jeep liberty limited
edition and my a/c isn't working. The.
Blower is working fine, the freon is full. I've
been told I need a clutch. Also been told that
it's possible my clutch is just stuck to try a
lubricant on it..... What do you think?
Anybody....... HELP! I am 43 with cancer and
this heat has been unbearable on me, my
skin blisters up and I just can't afford to
replace the whole thing I'm praying that a
fuse or some wd40 will be my answer.
Thank you!

The AC clutch engages magnetically. Putting WD40 on the AC compressor will just make the belt slippery. It can be the AC clutch relay or the AC pressure switch that keep the clutch from engaging.
