2011 bmw 328i driver side door wont unlock

Yesterday I drove my car to my home and when I went to
get out the door wouldn't unlock from within nor from
outside and when I tried to unlock it with the remote all 3
but the driver side unlocked..when I press the lock key I
hear this weird rattling sound coming from inside the
door..I got out and tried the physical key itself it turns but
same noise and still wouldn't open..I dont know much
about cars but if anybody had that issue before please let
me know how you got it fixed..thank you

I'm having the exact same prob with my 328xi. For the past 3+ days now I'm climbing over from/to passenger front seat to enter/exit. Gotta stop doing so before back pulls out. Awaiting advice, thanks.
