Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2006 CTS. Coolant was leaking a little so i
topped it off with the right caddie coolant. Had the
car for 4 weeks. Last night I was driving noticed a
lot of smoke coming out the temp gage was
normal. Pulled over popped the hood and coolant
was all over the bottom. The rad seemed fine then
so I try to go back home (wasn't that far) and the
car wouldn't drive forwerd or reverse and a green S
LIGHT came on,on the dash. So I don't know I
heard caddies have that safty thing where it
wouldn't let you drive to make it worse or if it's a
tranny problem? please help

Well if your white smoke (steam) is exiting the tail pipe then you have intake or head gasket problems. Look it up on the net these engines are know for gasket failures, no way to fix it either, as it will leak everytime..

It wasn't coming from the pipe I popped the hood and it was coming from the bottom of the engien bay but I'll look in to that as well thank you

May just be a hose water pump or water pump gasket, still could be a head or intake gasket or radiator/reservoir leak or even heater hoses.
