Many newer vehicles don't have a throttle cable that connects the accelerator pedal to the throttle body. A sensor is hooked up to the accelerator pedal which sends a signal to the computer to tell the computer how much you're pressing down on the accelerator pedal. The computer then opens up the throttle plates accordingly. The first thing I'd check is the accelerator position sensor. Not to be confused with the throttle position sensor which is on the throttle body under the hood. The accelerator pedal position sensor is attached to the accelerator pedal under the dash. Hope that helps! Jim
