Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2006 Cadillac dts is idling when I'm stop with my feet on the brake only. I've
tried the fuel injectors but it's not helping. I'm not getting any lights on the dash
so I can't tell what's wrong with it.

How old are the spark plugs? Scan for codes even if the CEL is not on.

Just had the spark plugs and coils changed out last November. I was getting a light then.

Potential Northstar head gasket failure which requires a head bolt upgrade.

The easiest and also first thing to do is clean your Throttle body and IAC sensor (Idle air control) and put back on . After you do that you will have to reset the IAC sensor by keeping it unplugged and starting and letting run the car for 40 seconds.. turn of the car .. plug the IAC sensor and start the car and let run for 10 mins on park or neutral.

The rpm will bounce up and down during 40 seconds of resetting the IAC sensor. No problem with that.
