Most likely this car has been using traditional oil for most of its life. Most mfgs. did not start using synthetic as factory fill until much later. If so, just keep using it with traditional. Studies have shown that with 3,000 mile oil change intervals, the difference between synthetic and traditional oils is nonexistent.
