Very sluggish 1993 E36 318is

Asked by Osei May 14, 2009 at 05:35 AM about the 1993 BMW 3 Series 318is Coupe RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Very high mileage (286k kms) 1993 E36 318is has become sluggish from 0. Initially replaced plugs, fuel pump, injectors. No show!

Therefore suspected the electrics, and so changed air flow meter, mass sensors, engine wiring and got a recon control board. Still no show!!

Considering the high mileage, is it time for a recon engine and new control board??

All help will be appreciated.
