I have a 1994 bmw 325i conv and the truck won't open. how can i get it open?

Tom is has led you in the right direction with the link. Since this in a conv the top does have to be intalized in order for the trunk to open. If the conv top compartment is open or thinks its open it will lock the trunk from opening. This would be caused by a bad microswitch I have seen this in the dealer alot I have also seen the SIB (service information bulletin that tom gave you a link to as well cause an issue. If anything try pushing down on the conv top lid while trying to open the trunk it may trigger the bad microswitch enough to unlock the trunk. Hope this helps.

This is correct. My 95 BMW 325i convertible had a locked trunk that would not open. I read this, put the top back up, and voila! the trunk opened.
