...well there can be any number of considerations here...we really need to know the diagnostics...plugged catalytic converter comes to mind...but a fuel pressure regulator who's hose is cracked or fallen off or who's diaphragm has been eaten by Chevron with techron~ and is no longer givin' you enough fuel...the throttle position sensor TPS could be on it's last legs...spark plugs and air filter can both be foul...the EGR can be buggered up with carbon....the IAT, or intake air sensor is making the fuel mix too lean...the block temperature sensor is not giving a proper signal~ need I continue?~

Throttle cable came loose. My 328 on the hwy came off when I was on hard acceleration shifting gears. Mind you my car was 12 years old. I don't know if this will help.
