bmw 323 fuel interruption problem

2000 bmw 323i, 5 spd, car Starts and then Stalls, replaced mass air flow sensor but did not fix the problem, Then replaced fuel filter and that did not fix the problem, engine has good compression and is getting a spark but has a fuel interruption problem. Has anyone seen this before.

I have a similar problem with my 2006. It only happens when it has not been started for a few days.

check the idle valve.small silver or metal looking thing under the intake manifold.put a long 1/4 inch extention on it and tap it with a hammer a few times.if it continues to idle after that replace the idle valve.
