I would suggest bringing it into a shop to be checked out, if you have white smoke coming out the exhaust, possible head gasket.
It`s smokes from the hood
Ok, there is a leak which could be a radiator hose or radiator itself. Do not let the coolant level go down for chance of overheating, that would cause a lot more problems. Need to get it fixed ASAP and don't be driving it, unless to get it fix close by.
Would you happen to know how much it could cost to repair that
Hundreds less than if you were to keep driving it. Its hard to say, depending on what exactly what it is. If it is a hose, that wouldn't be bad. If it is the radiator then some what more depending if it can be fixed or has to be replaced.
My son has a 2000 bmw 323i and we were having issues with his coolant and then it also started smoking. There are two hard plastic coolant lines that hook up towards the top of the engine that were cracked and leaking on the manifold. It cost us around $750 to fix, lots of labor $$.
You paid 800 and u got ur car back running at 100% ?
Did you ever find out what the problem was?! My car is doing the SAME EXACT THING. 2001 BMW 325i
My 2003 325i is doing the same thing!
