Keyless entry issues

Sometimes the keyless entry system does not work for the backseat doors. Is this common? Do I need a new key? Is it a user error?

im not quite sure how the keyless works on a beemer i know whith mine you push once for the front doors and twice to unlock all doors if that dosent work take it to the dealer its nothing you can fix yourself

Have you tried changing the battery in the remote? they generally pry apart into 2 pieces and have a 2016, 2025, or 2032 battery inside.
