Cv axel

Asked by Silver305 Jul 01, 2016 at 10:37 PM about the 2003 BMW 3 Series 330xi Sedan AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My my right front cv Axel went out on my 2003
bmw 330xi but when it happened I was going slow
and I Hurd pop like it broke and loud grinding so I
shut my engine off and when I turned it on to try
and move it I shifted it in to drive, but it only
grinded when I press on the gas. Can a cv axle
cause all the wheels to stop moving on an all-
wheel-drive car

Your CV axel slides into the transmission then the opposite side the wheels. if the CV axel breaks or it seazes up the car will not move, the rear wheel drive CV axel works the same way.
