Engine Oil Finishing

Asked by Joseph_Mwaba Dec 18, 2017 at 08:59 AM about the 2005 BMW 3 Series 320i Sedan RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I need help. My car’s engine oil is finishing without
showing any leakage on the engine. The engine is clean
and neat without showing any kind of oil drops yet every
time I service it, the oil level drops below minimum within
a distance of approximately ~500km. What could be the
problem?

Your engine is burning the oil. Clean or replace the PCV but the engine may just be worn. You could try the next heavier oil weight. How many miles on the car?

Is it possible that your 12 year old BMW is just worn out?
