Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I don't know exactly what is going on. Recently bought this car and within
the first 30 miles or so it begins to overheat. If the heat is on, you will feel
the air switch to cold and it only takes about 4 minutes before I have a
yellow hazard light flashing on my dash (red if it isn't shut off soon) I have
been told the solution to this problem is just an electric thermostat. Just
curious if anyone else has had this same issue and what their solution was.
