yes. the MINI cooper I have has a three button transponder, replacement key is $700 and you have to bring the title and the car if you need a duplicate key made at the dealership. Still do not know what to do here, there are no locks and no other way to get in short of breaking a window...clearly towin' it to the dealership...perhaps they have a "master key".

with an old-fashioned "slim-jing" like the type tow drivers and police use might be able to get you into the car, if your keys were locked inside. MINI won't do this. will not enable locking without the key outside the perimeter. make it so you cannot lock your keys in~
happens to almost all buyers of this car,at least once .police wont do it,some have suffered injuries from side air bags ,you don't have them on this mode .get a wooden wedge and try to hold door away enough to fish a wire in to hook keys or trip locks, or pull handle!

Use a piece of string and a wedge string these a have a loop and it just look up online YouTube how to open my door with a string. I would I'm guessing you don't know how to pick the locks or use a slim Jim so this might be a better option for you explaining the other stuff is tedious
