can i let the backrest of the seat by hand if eleic

You can tilt it but it won't go up and down, I think thats your question. Either the motor is shot or some wire somewhere in the seat is disconnected. Take out the seat and hunt down the problem. If you only want to move it once and be done tho, get a 9v battery, undo the plastic backing find the two wires running to the motor clip them and touch them one on the - one on the + side to make the seat move. Switching the wires will result in it going to opposite direction fyi.

So, I just read the question again and realized you were talking about the BACKrest not the HEADrest haha, my bad. Unfortunately the answer is no =/
