This can be disabled by the user on the newer Chrysler products, but it may take a dealer to do it on a BMW. It's a setting in the BCM that causes the speed-activated locks to work.

Yes this can be changed at your local dealership. A saftey feature in the bmws that started in the e46 model. Could be costly to have the dealership though hook up thier equipment to change it. I have my own scan tools for bmw and I changed my e36 325 to lock when I drove at a certain speed.

cut the central locking wire!! it will work, but u wont have central locking!! like mine!! my old bmw used to lock itself a few seconds after shutting the doors! the keys were forever being locked in the damned thing. especially in winter when defrosting and takin the kettle back inside!! haha!!

the only way to do that is if you have the idrive system in your car which i believe only comes in the e60 models.
