Dear Chico- The choice of tire for your 2004 BMW 525 is completely up to you. The excellent site, www.tirerack.com, says that three different tires were used, depending on the type tire that matches your driving. The tires are from Pirelli (H rated), Michelin (Z rated) or Continental (V rated). The site will also point out several other brands of the size (225/55-16 was standard) and type you want. Good luck from Bovan.
