Burning oil

My 525xi is burning oil. Also the engine now makes
more noise than when I bought it, now It has 107k
miles I use 5w30 oil. Should I use a thinker oil?

Do not use thicker oil! The problem needs to be properly diagnosed. Take the car to a BMW specialist.

Bob is right- find out why it is burning the oil- but if you are not prepared for the expense and hassle that a worn out BMW will give you, go ahead and try the higher weight oil- but DO NOT throw any of those fancy engine additives in there-
