BMW 530i 2006 Passenger Window won't go down (not fuse)

Asked by TaylorBrown Mar 29, 2018 at 05:37 PM about the 2006 BMW 5 Series 530i Sedan RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My passenger window will go down with all the other windows when I use the
key fob, however, as soon as I turn the key in the ignition the window goes
straight back up. I can't get it to go down with the buttons on the drivers side
or the passenger side. Any suggestions?

You may have to do a simple resync procedure by manually starting with the driver's side then working your way around by opening one window at a time then lowering to relearn the door modules.

Thanks! I turned down all the windows with the key in the door and then put them all back up again (twice). The window now seems to be working perfectly. I should have thought about the simple reset!
