Keep or sell my 2008 BMW 535XI?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I bought it used 3 years ago with about 70k miles
on it. In the past two years I've spent almost $6k in
repairs (replace ATP transfer case, replace ball
joints, engine covers & repair major oil leak). I'm
sure I'm missing some details. I love the car (when
it's not in the shop), but I'm just waiting for the next
thing to go wrong. I have about 104k miles on it and
I know these cars can go well into the 300k range
but at what cost?! Any advice? Should I hang on to
it since I've already invested so much or cut my
losses and sell it?

Those are really nice cars but expensive to maintain. By repairs mentioned done to it, looks like it was abused by prior owners ball joins probably using bigger wheels than original, oil leaks and valve covers at that early stage, probably because oil changes not done frequently or engine oveheat. It's really up to you but if you decide to keep it, be ready to spend more $

It was a one owner car, the owner was a 50 something year old business owner, low miles, thought all were good signs.
