My 2008 Bmw 535xi wont start

Asked by Bossonf Jan 07, 2019 at 04:45 PM about the 2008 BMW 5 Series 535xi Sedan AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I recently changed the transmission mechatronic sleeve
and the plug adapter for a 2008 Bmw 535xi. Everything was
reinstalled and the transmission filled with oil. The vehicle
then wouldn't start and I have the error message on the
screen....4x4 and DSC malfunction. Do you have any hint on
what could have gone wrong. I checked the battery and it
looks fine. Thank you.

Most likely bad transfercase. Possible szl. Need to scan it for codes pnly.way of knowing for sure. The transmission repair would not cause those faults.

I will have it scanned. In the meantime I will look at the transfert case shift actuator.
