My sound system in my 745i doesn't work. Is there anything I can do besides take it to dealership???

well first of all you need to check any fuse boxes for a blown fuse. If there aren't any, pull the radio out and check for any fuses there. Still nothing, check the wiring harnesses to the radio for disconnection or chaffed/burned wires. Last resort, run a multimeter on the radio to check for voltage. If no voltage, you need a new radio. I have BMW 745i 2003 and right side and rear speakers dont work they come on whenever they want to but mostly time DONT ??? what should i DO ?????

Did you try just resting it by disconnecting to bettery?

It is either your ASK unit which controls front door speakers and CD players and or it is the Logic 7 Amplifier in the Trunk. Both can be removed easily by you and taken to or sent to a variety of people who work on this exact problem which is historical to this car. This guy supposedly does good work and knows your issue. But you have to send him the units and they return them quickly. He is in Southern California. Check him out at www.Factoryradioservice.com. I have a 745i I want to remove the stock radio can I do that without having any problems

My 2002 7 series BMW stereo and navigation dont work what should I do I dont know where to start when I turn on the car it said a warning message n it stays on if I move the nob n the center console witch controls navigation it moves to where ever I need to go navigation or am FM radio I just cant click on anything what could it be
