Are all interior lights suppost to turn off when you get out of car

Normally, when you exit the car and close all of the doors, the interior lights should all turn off (i.e. overhead dome lighting, reading lights, etc.)...Unless the "ON" setting for the lights was accidentally selected instead of the "DOOR" setting. The "ON" setting would keep the interior lighting on ALL of the time (which of course, is not a good thing for the battery over time). The ONLY lights you should normally see would be the Anti-Theft LED / Light flashing when all doors are closed and locked with the remote fob.

Racer has a great point. I'd check that first. Some cars though, have a 'theatre' lighting effect where the interior lights stay on for 30 seconds-to a minutes, then 'fade to black' as it were. Even cars w/out that feature sometimes have lights that stay on for about 30 seconds then just shut off. No theatre ticket required. Let me know if this helps!
