Brakes & rotors

Asked by Perry Jan 11, 2016 at 09:57 PM about the 2004 Cadillac DeVille Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2004 Cadillac deville was shaking really
bad!!! Especially when I accelerate over
40mph, and braking. I've repaired the
motor mount, and have had front rotors
turned. I can can tell it's not shaking as
much, but it still does it. What do I need to
check for now, cause I don't wanna keep
wasting money to fix the problem , and it
never end up being what the mechanic
says

Could be almost anything in the front end. Have you had the drive train or anything in the steering system checked?

tires could be unbalanced. you have rims on the car.big rims take a beating on steering and suspension. check ball joints, tie rods, shocks. etc
