2011 ford fusion Se driver door won't open from inside

You have to open the door from the inside there is a rod or the linkage that connects to the actual lock box that may have slipped out or broken you need to check that out to see whether not you need to replace the lock or with another link it you broken and then get the parts from your dealer. Should not be too inexpensive and you can find out how to open the door by going to YouTube.
Until you get a replacement part you can still open the door from the inside. Move the smaller door latch towards you while sitting in the seat and slowly move larger latch until in same position as small latch then grab both and slowly move towards you and that will release the lock in the door. I have the same issue with mine!
I see some people are saying the door won't open unless you replace a rod or linkage. I pretty sure my 2011 Ford Fusion Sport has a small cable with a little tiny barrel shaped lead piece with the cable hooked to it & goes to the door latch. Also I never read an article that really tells you what's actually broke. The cable or rod or the door handle, so what's the issue?
Guru5Z2JC explains my issue exactly. I've read a lot of articles about how to change the handle but not one of them tells you what's broken on the door handle that keeps it from opening from the inside? So what's broken for the reason it won't open?
