Help!

My 2011 malibu won't crank or won't start. I think I
some how activated the auto theft system, and
nownothe lights on the dash and on the outside
just blink repeatedly when I put the keys in and try
to start it. The only light that's on is the auto theft
protection light. when I try to start it it does nothing
but blink. I can't even pop the hood to see the
problem because the auto theft protection is on!!
Should I take out the battery? What should I do?
