I was noticing my car not driving as fast as
it used to. It has been slow. Current mileage
is at 76984 && my scheduled oil change
was supposed to have been at 71633.
Today on the freeway people kept passing
me up. The car felt like it was going fast but
all of a sudden the car felt drained the
speed was decreasing and I was pushing
the gas but the car felt as if it was dying. It
stayed at 40 mph. Any advice what
happened?

So you have about 10k miles on the current oil? So not good... The oil might be turning in sludge inside your engine.

I have a 2001 chevy malibu. had the oil changed a week ago. now today the car is ideling at 2 rpm, when i put it in drive it mad a cluncking noise. and now the gas gauge went from full to 1/4 tank, but then left it sit and started it back up , driving home it was at 2 rpms, didn't have to even it the gas, car just went. got home and now in park its at 3 rpms . and it won't idle down at all. Ok I posted three weeks ago about this an was told to check the ignition switch. I did that an still no luck. My car want turn over an I already replaced the following parts.... Spark plugs and wires, battery, ignition switch, ignition cylinder, numerous hoses...
