2011 Malibu wont start

Asked by DeanSmith100 Aug 17, 2015 at 02:13 AM about the 2011 Chevrolet Malibu LTZ FWD

Trying to figure out the fuel pump wiring to test pump I am only able to find one hot wire in fuel pump plug and its hot always even if you pull fuse and relay. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Most fuel pumps have internal pressure switches and will only run when needed. Turn off the Radio/CD ,,then turn the key .. but don't crank the engine ... you should hear the fuel pump run a few seconds ..then shut off
