Car idolizing at 1200 rpm

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I started my car, lights flickered, then the car cut
off immediately after, and the engine light came on.
I took it to the shop to get fixed and they informed
me of needing to clean/replace throttle body. Car
is still idilizing at 1,000-12000 rpm. O Riley’s and
Auto zone computer codes brought up something
for air filter assembly

O'reilly and Autozone are not good places to get a vehicle with a fault diagnosed. Idolization may be reduced by locating any existing vacuum leak and repairing the same. I would try a different mechanic, a real one.
