Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Changed oil, spark plugs, cleaned throttle body,
and MAS. Now when I first start of the day car gets
a boost of rpm for a second then drops to normal
and no problem rest of the day. 2011 Chevy Malibu

I've noticed that most cars do that on start up. More so when they're cold. I think 1000 rpm's for 20 seconds would be normal. I think it is to insure a clean start and to pre heat the catalytic converter. Annoying, none adjustable feature.
