Having a problem with my 2011 Subaru outback
paint chipping away..

I would find a forum specifically for that model , it may be a common problem with the factory paint . A paint job is like any thing else , you get what you pay for .

Is it the actual paint coming off, or the clear coat? If it's just the clear coat, that can be fixed much easier than paint. Is this the factory paint/clear coat or a 3rd party paint job?

Hmmm....2011 OB paint is no different from other years. If it's delaminating in sheets then it's new paint sprayed over a poorly-prepped prior surfaced. If you're just referring to small chips blame it on rock and sand abrasion and price-point OEM paint.
