What's wrong with it?

126,839mi on my used 2011 Subaru outback.  Last
summer I noticed it started to make a shirt, distinct
squeal followed immediately by a slight, but
noticable shudder. This happens in the exact same
way every time it happens and I usually notice it at
60 mph, but I can't cause it to happen at will.
Sometimes it happens over and over, even at
different speeds, but also it won't happen at all for
periods of time.  I really wanted to pay this off and
drive till death, but now I'm thinking if no one
knows what it could be, then I'll trade in before I'm
stuck buying a new tranny. Help???

It is possible that you have a transmission issue. Do you have a CVT or automatic?
