Why did my 2002 DHS Cadillac Deville stop running while driving it ?

I was driving in traffic I pressed on the gas pedal car jerked a bit but kept going and
then died as I was approaching the stop light...tried to restart and it wouldn't
restart....I had it towed home and have tried to restart it again and this time the
battery died completely out...Bad timing for Christmas...(smh)

Sorry about that but it is these little things that make X-Mass interesting. First thing is to determine if there is spark & fuel.

I tried again to start it and auto start it...shouldn't have done that it went crazy blinking lights all over the place and then the battery died no lights period....I'm just depressed with this mess...Please help PLEASE!....

Need to figure out what the problem is, need to check for spark and fuel. May need someone to help you.
