GM should recall the Equinox Models

In searching for answers about my POS 2010 Chevy Equinox, I stumbled across your post. We too, have has SO many issues with this thing , its unbelievable. Already replaced transmission. Have had oil consumption tests done, only to be told they dont like our outside warranty, which paid for the over 4000 dollar transmission replacement. This is THE worst "new" vehicle I have ever seen. I dont think it has 50,000 miles on it yet. My husband was told by a chevy dealer outside our area, that GM is well aware of the engine issues, but does not seem to want to do anything about it. That GM should replace ALL these engines. Extremely frustrating, and maddening dealing with rude, smarmy "service" personnel. So sorry we bought this pig. Glad I found your post.

Thank you both for the response. I have bought a Nissan Altima, Dogde Charger and now a Kia Sorento as of last week. The Nissan by far I can say is the best choice by far. They will replace the engine or transmission on the vehicle as long as it is under 175,000 miles. It shows that they believe in they product. They are so helpful, I still love the look of GM products but I promised. I will never ever in life purchase another vehicle of there's. Although I went back on my word, I purchased a used 2005 Buick Lacrosse almost a year ago. The instrument clusters did not work. Therefore I did not know how fast I was going, if I needed an oil change, if the car battery was low. The battery would not stay charged either. I took it to a local dealership here in town called Century Chevrolet. They were charging me $100 for each day it was there because they could not figure out what was wrong with it. I assume it is a wiring issue but after $400 and no resolution I took the vehicle back. So it is just sitting in the garage. I have absolutely no faith in GM. They are the United Airlines of vehicles. They went from the best product to the absolute worse.

I own a 2008 Chevy Equinox and the transmission control module is faulty. It sound like all the equinoxes have faulty transmissions. It’s going to cost me almost $1000 to fix it
