Please help! My daughter's 2000 Deville won't start. Turn switch on dash lights up, turn to start dash goes blank and nothing happens!

I was only trying to help daughter by cleaning her car. Left door open
overnight and battery discharged.  No big deal I charge it up. Then it
won't start. Had battery checked at O'Reilly they said it was  good ( its a
2014) but needed charging.  So I charged it again overnight. No
luck.Dash shows 12.4 - 12.6 volts.Two mechanics suggested main
battery cables. I checked all I could find, under back seat and
hood.They were pretty clean but I cleaned again and even removed
ground under seat and underhood (by fusebox ) and ground down to
bare metal.Checked all the fuses (under back seat and hood) and
switched out IGN 1 circuit breakers with others. Idont know what to do,
like I said all I did was let battery go dead and there was no prior
problem. I did put new front brake pads on. Any advice would be
greatly appreciated.

Hey johnny and thank you for your serious answer. I did check the ground under back seat and also the one under fuse box to alternator body. I cleaned down to shiny metal. Do you know of another ground or any other suggestions. I also tried another good battery with 850 cca. I am stumped There is water under the back carpet I think from an earlier ac or heater coil leak. Is there any wires under there that could possibly short out? Thanks David
