Overheating

Overheating issues, car overheated yesterday. Added some coolant now it's not
overheating. I hear water when I step on the gas, it's coming from the dash.
Could this be the reason it's overheating?

do you see any visible leaks on the ground? usually the problem will be a thermastat, water pump, or radiator do not drive the car if it is overheating, you can blow the motor
