Okay, I just replaced the thermostat and flush and filled it. It overheated while driving it. Does the coolant system need to be burped?

I know it's self purging. While putting the coolant in, it took a long time to fill.

I would purge the cooling system, always needs to be done when work has ben done. Here is a video on how to purge the cooling system... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xeTgmdRkQtY

The only thing with that video is put the radiator cap back on before you shut the engine off.

Sorry, had to take the dog for a walk, but yes, having the front end up on an incline or raised up certainly helps.
