A/C not working sometimes...

My A/C will work some days and some days it wont until I
hit a Bump/Pothole hard. Then it clicks on out of nowhere.
It will continue to run for a few drives then it shuts off
again. It doesnt shut off while driving, only when I initially
start the car sometimes.
