Lift gate is out of sync it won't lift the door but you can hear motor operating

Same question as above. Worked fine but just stopped when I tried to use it. Mine is 2008 srx

I even tried to turn the power lift gate button inside the vehicle ...turned to the off position to try to open manually and it won't budge! So stupid there is no place for the key!
