Water on passenger side floorboard

Asked by GuruBJZ2S Jan 27, 2019 at 07:19 AM about the 2011 Cadillac SRX Luxury AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2011 Cadillac SRX. I left for 1 week on a
trip and came back to a soaking wet floorboard on
the passenger side. It had been downpouring while
I was gone. I am guessing but the floor is
completely soaked and seems to be coming from
the part that separates the drivers side from
passenger side. The dash isn't wet, the door isn't
wet. There was not a window left open. This
wetness is only in the floor. ,The carpet towards
the door and seat are not wet and the drivers side
is not wet.

I've never had any problems before.

Mine had this issue. So the sunroof drain tube came out of the firewall. Get up under the rubber seal by the door and take that piece off; it pops off. Unplug your speaker cord. I had to go to a local store and buy a fitting to put into the original hosing and then I bought some more hosing and rehosed it and let it hang down thru the firewall. Its too hard to get your hand back there to put the original hose back in... I'm a female and just Utubed it and it was an easy fix for me.

I have a 2013 ATS that also started leaking in that same area. Have been told that drain plugs were clogged but am wondering if it's a bigger problem since many cadillacs in this time period had similar problems.
