Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2011 GMC Acadia Denali.
FM radio works fine with key in ignition and
I’m the on position. Radio goes to static once

The interference is probably coming from your ignition system. Check for places where any ignition wires (coil leads as well) are running close to your antenna wire and separate them. There are also noise suppression filters that you can purchase to help defeat this. FM is typically the most sensitive to this type of static. Hope this helps.

Kynae22, we have same problem with 2012 Acadia. Did you find a solution? We replaced radio but still has the issues. Installer said is likely the factory antenna. We are thinking of taking to dealer but want to explore potential solutions first.

We ended up taking it to our mechanic. It was the antenna module on the outside of the car. It was like a $500 part/repair
