Can a dealer force me to buy an extended car protection?

I made an offer on a used vehicle, on line when i am ready to pay the guy from the dealer told that he can sell the car without and extended warranty of a company he pointed. Do i have to buy it? Can opt to not buy it?

You don't have to buy anything. If they pressure you to I would walk away.
